The congress is made up of the legislative branch, and it includes the House of Representatives and the Senate, which are never above the law. The states population determines the number of representatives; each state at least has one representation. For each state in the U.S. there is two senators. Congress has the power to do many things such as regulate trade and to tax, but the most important is to create laws.

The president holds the executive power for one term, four years along with the vice president. A president has to been born in the U.S., must be at least 35 years old, and must have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years. The executive branch carries laws that have been passed by congress; they can either approve the law or veto it. He or she is also responsible for the armed forces, and can make treaties.

The judicial branch of governmenet, is the federal court system. The Supreme Court is the nation's highest court; they have the final say in all matters of law, and judges are chosen not elected. The jury is held, in the state that the crime was committed in. In that case, congress has the power to sentence treason to anyone in trial.
Article 4

All states must accept the laws of the states. A citizen of one state must be given the same rights, as the citizens of another state he or she may be in. New states may be added to the U.S., and the government will protect that certain state.
Article 5

This article allows the Constitution to be amended, or changed. It may be used to change anything in the Constitution that is outdated, and does not fit in with the new citizens of America. For this to happen 2/3 of votes are required from congress.

The Supremacy Clause states that the Constitution, of the United States is the highest law in the land. State laws must be under this law, and everyone should support the Constitution.

When 9 out of 13 states ratify or approve the Constitution to become a law. Then the Constitution will be in effect.
